Your age is counted in completed years since birth. Since June 2023, Korea also uses this international age for most legal purposes, but you will still hear the traditional Korean age, which starts at 1 at birth.
How it works
- Age = reference year − birth year, minus 1 if the birthday has not come yet.
- Year age (Korea) = reference year − birth year.
- Traditional Korean age = year age + 1.
